British Garden Centres snaps up Dobbies Morpeth

British Garden Centres has announced the acquisition of the Dobbies garden centre in Morpeth, taking its portfolio to 69 outlets.

British Garden Centres has announced the acquisition of the Dobbies garden centre in Morpeth, taking its portfolio to 69 outlets. The aim is to reopen in early to mid-March with the store reverting back to its original name of Heighley Gate Garden Centre to embrace the heritage of the site.

British Garden Centres is retaining the existing centre team and says it looks forward to working with them to build on the existing strengths of the store, ensuring it will become a top destination garden centre. It will also look to recruit additional roles into the team in order to support growth.
