HTA relaunches its National Garden Gifting Scheme

The scheme is changing its name to the National Garden Gift Card

The Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) has announced that its National Garden Gifting Scheme brand is being refreshed in order to remain competitive within the gift card market. To align with recognised gift card terminology, and following the discontinuation of paper vouchers in December 2023, the scheme is changing its name to the National Garden Gift Card.

The new cards will be available via the HTA’s online store. During the transition, both the old and new brands will be in circulation for a brief period as existing stock is phased out. This approach supports the HTA’s commitment to sustainability by minimising waste.

'Numerous exciting initiatives'
Jon Dixon, director of gifting sales for the HTA, said: “The main aim of the scheme continues to be attracting consumers into the horticulture sector and growing the over 2m consumer transactions in garden centres each year. The HTA is focusing on numerous exciting initiatives to ensure the scheme meets the expectations of both members and consumers, maintaining its competitiveness with other leading gift card schemes in the UK.”
