Gluten-free and in strawberry and chocolate flavours, the authentic macarons simply need thawing before serving. They are perfect for afternoon tea, but can also be used to decorate cakes and desserts or as toppings for shakes and smoothies.
So simple and convenient to serve in any garden café or restaurant, the heart-shaped macarons just need defrosting in the refrigerator for two hours, with a further 15 minutes at room temperature. They are the latest macarons launched by pâtissier Tipiak, which supplies a range of authentic thaw-and-serve sweet and savoury pâtisserie to the UK food service sector via frozen food wholesalers.
A recent survey by Tipiak found that more than half of consumers believe that macarons are an essential part of afternoon tea, with seven in 10 Brits regarding them as fashionable. They were ranked fourth in the top 10 ingredients Britons want to see in their afternoon tea.
