HTA launches retail finance partnership

The Horticultural Trades Association (has launched a new retail finance partnership with Novuna Consumer Finance.

The Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) has launched a new retail finance partnership with Novuna Consumer Finance to help eligible members offer customers more choice at the checkout and support higher-value purchases.

For many customers, investing in their home or garden is not an everyday purchase. Through the partnership, eligible HTA retail members can offer finance on purchases over £250, including buy now pay later, interest-free credit and interest-bearing credit.

Available both in-store and online, the finance offer gives customers more control over how they pay and makes it easier to spread the cost over time. It also helps members respond to customer expectations, improve the shopping experience and support higher-value sales.

'Supporting retailers'
Jon Dixon, director of gifting sales for the HTA, said: “Garden centres continue to diversify the products and services they offer, with many customers making significant investments in creating and improving their outdoor spaces. Offering flexible payment options can make those purchases more accessible while helping our members increase sales and average transaction values.”

Brian Flesk, head of retail for Novuna Consumer Finance, added: “We’re excited to launch our partnership with the HTA and support businesses across the horticultural sector with accessible, responsible finance solutions. We know that garden and home improvement projects are often carefully considered purchases, and we aim to help more customers bring those plans to life while supporting retailers in growing their businesses.”
