JJ Foodservice prepares for two new openings

JJ Foodservice has acquired a new 28,000 sq ft site in Ipswich, due to open later this year.

The wholesaleer has also confirmed its 33,000 sq ft Nottingham branch will launch this summer.

The business says its openings form part of the group’s national expansion to better support restaurants, caterers and households across the UK.

"Ipswich has a vibrant and fast growing food scene, with an exciting mix of restaurants across the waterfront and town centre," says chief operating officer Kaan Hendekli. "We’re looking forward to supporting that growth with our quality, range and service."

Over the past year, JJ Foodservice has expanded its product range by 19% in partnership with suppliers, adding new premium beers, wines and spirits, an extended alcohol offer, and specialist Asian, Mediterranean and world food lines for foodservice operators.

The Nottingham branch remains on track to open this summer, with the Ipswich branch scheduled to follow towards the end of the year.
