The Phat Pasty Co recently scooped two awards in the space of a week!
The Phat Pasty Co recently scooped two awards in the space of a week. It prevailed in the Cornish Pasty Company category at the inaugural Global Pasty Championships, followed by the Vegan section of the British Pie Awards.
The winning product at the former was, unsurprisingly, the company’s Traditional Cornish Pasty. Joining it on the podium a few days later was the Vegan Keralan Cauliflower, Chickpea and Onion Bhaji Pasty.
'An incredible seven days'
Paul Clark, phat controller of The Phat Pasty Co, said: “It’s been an incredible seven days! To be named the winner in the inaugural Global Pasty Championships is a huge honour for the whole team, and then to win at the British Pie Awards for our plant-based Keralan pasty is the icing on the cake.
“We started this business 20 years ago around our kitchen table with a simple belief: that if you focus on provenance, quality ingredients and doing things properly, the rest will follow. This commitment to authenticity and craftsmanship is what sets our pasties apart in terms of both quality and taste.”
