The annual competition aims to inspire young chefs to reach their full potential in mastering and innovating within Asian cuisine.

Lee Kum Kee has announced that it will be returning as headline sponsor of Zest Quest Asia 2026. The annual competition aims to inspire young chefs to reach their full potential in mastering and innovating within Asian cuisine, creating dishes that reflect both tradition and the diversity of regional flavours.

The winning team will once again be awarded an educational trip to Asia, where they will explore the chosen destination’s culture and cuisine. The prize location, revealed at the finale gala dinner, has previously included Asian food capitals such as Vietnam, Japan, Thailand, India, the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Hong Kong.

'Supporting and encouraging'
Maria Chong, managing director of Lee Kum Kee Europe, said: “Lee Kum Kee shares Zest Quest Asia’s goal to bridge the gap between classroom and industry, and to address the need for representation of Asian cuisine across the culinary curriculum. We look forward to supporting and encouraging the student competitors by showcasing the mastery of traditional Asian sauces and providing inspiration for the creation of innovative, modern dishes.”

The competition’s founder, Cyrus Todiwala OBE DL FIH, added: “This fabulous news means that, with such inspirational sponsors on board, the competition can only get better, stronger and offer more to the student and college participants.”
