British Garden Centres celebrates another event debut

British Garden Centres continued its successful event season at the very first RHS Wentworth Woodhouse Flower Show recently, raising awareness of the brand in Yorkshire’s spectacular new horticultural setting. Set against the backdrop of one of Britain’s grandest stately homes, the Wentworth show was an opportunity for the team to introduce its local centres and connect with new faces in the gardening community.
Just weeks after showcasing at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival, the British Garden Centres team travelled north, bringing the same retail stand full of seasonal plants and expertise to Wentworth. The display, full of summer plants and earthenware containers from Woodlodge, welcomed both seasoned gardeners and newcomers alike, offering creative ideas and friendly advice for every outdoor space.
The family-run group’s presence at Wentworth was doubly special, as the retail stand was recognised with the 4 Flower Plant Village Award. This was a fantastic achievement for a first appearance, and followed hot on the heels of being awarded the same accolade at Hampton Court.
'A tremendous honour'
Libby Stubbs, marketing and communications coordinator for British Garden Centres, said: "Winning the 4 Flower Plant Village Award at our very first Hampton Court show was a tremendous honour. To follow that by being awarded another 4 Flower Award at RHS Wentworth Woodhouse is a fantastic, and these shows are a good platform for us to connect with gardening fans and introduce them to what British Garden Centres stands for.
“We want visitors to leave inspired, knowing that our stores nationwide are places where they can get seasonal plants, friendly advice and plenty of ideas for every garden or outdoor space.”
