Dobbies strengthens executive team

Dobbies Garden Centre has announced the appointment of two new directors as it looks to further strengthens its executive team. Richard Herbert will be joining as restaurant director, George Hutchinson (pictured) as retail director.

Herbert joins from Bourne Leisure, where he led its national food and beverage offering for over four years. Hutchinson, meanwhile, is an experienced retail operator, joining Dobbies from Pets at Home where he was regional operations director for four years.

'Fantastic experience'
David Robinson, chief executive officer of Dobbies, said: “Both George and Richard bring fantastic experience that complements the expertise we already have in place. They’ll each have essential roles in driving forward our strategy, building on the strong start we have had so far.”

These appointments also come as operations director Nick Anderson steps down after 12 years.
