GREENFINGERS CHALLENGE CUP RETURNS

The Greenfingers Challenge Cup is making a comeback at this year’s Garden Centre Association (GCA) conference.

The Greenfingers Challenge Cup is making a comeback at this year’s GCA conference, proving to be a hot topic for garden centre caterers getting involved. For the first time since 2020, the fundraising challenge will invite people to create magical gardens for children’s hospices across the UK.

“In 2020, when we had our last face-to-face event pre-Covid, we raised £12,000 for the charity and we’re hoping to smash that total this year,” says Guy Topping, MD at Barton Grange Garden Centre.

The challenge has created almost 70 gardens for hospices and will be held on January 22 to raise money for the Greenfingers charity.

“This year, the Pansies, headed up by Will Blake, and The Cabbages, captained by Ian Flounders from Woodlodge Products will go head-to-head in a variety of activities, including bowling, crazy golf, crazy pool and curling at The Flower Bowl Entertainment Venue,” adds Topping.
